"Beatnik Cafe"
Join our groovy "cafe" as our fabulous 6th graders display their recent work and read from their original poems. Snacks and drinks will be served. Wear your berets!
Tuesday, December 6, 3:30 pm
"Kids Read to Kids", Library
Bring your children to listen to our upper-grade students read from their favorite books. Christine will play guitar & lead us in song. There will also be a raffle for a $50 gift certificate to the book fair! Open to all parents who purchase books that day.
Wednesday, December 7, 3:30 pm
Author & Poet, Jack Grapes
Parents & children alike will enjoy this very special reading from award-winning poet & alumni parent, Jack Grapes.
Thursday, December 8th
Family Day, Grant Hall
Bring your friends and family to a very special holiday event. Readings by Ted, Patty and Kristy. Holiday music, homemade baked goods and hot cocoa. Poetry, crafts/activities and more.
Friday, December 9th
Spirit Day
Students dress as their favorite book and movie characters.
Special parade for parents after school!

Friday, December 9, Chapel (Open to 4th, 5th and 6th grade students)
Bring your lunch and your favorite book. Discuss your favorite parts, why you loved it, what inspired you, what changed you and if you would give it a thumbs up or down!
BOOK DRIVE
Don't forget to bring your children's gently used books to their classroom during the week of the book drive. All books will be donated to BookEnds, a non-profit organization founded by an 8-year-old child to help provide Los Angeles' under-served children the opportunity to read!
