The Quilt Raffle!!!

Dear Friends and Family,

As part of our fundraising efforts this year, we are proud to present our latest installment in The Oaks' quilt tradition. We hope you will take part in the raffle for this beautiful, one of a kind, handmade quilt designed by Oaks parent Maura Vincent with hand-quilting by parents from The Oaks School.

Please take a moment to read the letter from Maura describing the inspiration and collaboration that made this quilt possible.

The Oaks Joins 350.org!!!

"Last year, millions of people from nearly every country on the planet were united by a common purpose: to build a powerful global movement to solve the climate crisis.

"October 24th, 2009 was called "the most widespread day of political action in the planet's history," with more than 5200 events in 181 countries. We increased pressure throughout the Copenhagen climate talks: we lobbied inside, we protested outside, and we organized thousands of candlelight vigils with partners around the world." -www.350.org
