To be considered for Kindergarten admission, a child must be five years old before October 1 of the year of entry. The following are the basic steps involved in the admissions process:

Beginning in September of the year prior to Kindergarten, parents may call the school to request a campus tour. Tours are conducted every Monday and Wednesday, from 10:00-11:30; reservations are required. Because it is one of the best ways to experience the school, we strongly recommend that you participate in a tour before completing your application. 

We also encourage interested applicants to attend an Open House in November or January and an all-school Assembly on Friday morning (reservations required for both).

Applications are available online in November prior to the admissions year, and must be submitted by January 31 at 5:00pm. Once applications are received, the Head of School and Director of Admissions will meet with parents to determine whether or not The Oaks is the best fit for the child and family. This assessment is also based on an evaluation from the child's current preschool and a play date with small groups of other Kindergarten applicants.

Parents are notified of admission decisions in March.
