Kindergarten

Kindergarten

To be considered for kindergarten admission, a child must be 5 years old before October 1 of the year of entry. The following are the basic steps involved in the admissions process:

Beginning in the fall of the prior year to kindergarten, parents may call the school to request an application and brochure.  Applications must be submitted by the end of the January preceding the year of enrollment.  Families are then encouraged to sign up for one of the school's weekly tours and to attend one of the Prospective Parent Orientations.

Beginning in November, the Head of School will meet with parents who have submitted applications and fees to discuss educational philosophy, curriculum, and the child.

A written assessment is requested from the child's current preschool.
During January/February, play dates are arranged for small groups of
children for the purpose of observing their readiness for kindergarten.

Parents are notified of admission decisions in March.
